It doesn’t seem to me that movies are as funny as they used to be. But books are getting funnier. And funny books make for great, mellow summer reading.
Two recent books that I read fit the bill. Both are about the funniest of topics: families.
The Family Fang is about an over-the-top art obsessed couple and the impact of their obsession on their family. It parodies modern art. This Is Where I Leave You profiles a family’s reaction to their father / husband’s death.
Both books leave you rolling in laughter and give great insights into life.
